The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) works to end bullying and discrimination against gay people, particularly gay youth. To get straight people to stop using the word 'gay' as a term of derision to describe things, we had a very big idea - we decided to actually create the world's first truly gay object. We collected the donated hair of over 100 gay people, which was then knit into The Gay Sweater - the only 'thing' on earth you can truly call gay, and be right.
